Whatever the ins and outs, London remains the second most expensive city in the world in which to rent office space, according to research conducted by CB Hillier Parker. London’s West End and City lie in third and fourth places to Tokyo’s Inner and Outer Central districts, which romp home in first and second places with total occupation costs of £103.89 and £89.82 per square foot respectively. London’s West End is calculated at £89.37 – although if recent reports are anything to go by, it could soon be nudging the century mark – and the City stands at £69.17.
