These firms should practice law instead of making “deals” left and right deserve nothing better. This is happening on both sides of the Atlantic. I hope that Bancroft will not stand alone, but set an example for others that have been swindled into “deals” that went sour and follow suit. Maybe then the “deal makers” will remember their oaths they once took when graduating from law school. Ouch! That is what they call a schoolboy error… Still, shows the importance of local counsel and how difficult it is to check and manage their work.
