That sinking feeling

On Monday (25 June) The Lawyer revealed that Irwin Mitchell was one of the growing legion of UK law firms that may seek a stock market listing in the post-Clementi era.

But what’s this? Last week Tulkinghorn heard rumours that Irwin Mitchell has already beaten all of its rivals to that aim, although perhaps not in the way the firm was expecting.

Is that what it meant when it said it wanted to float?
