Slaughters to shut down in New York, Singapore

Slaughter and May is closing in New York and Singapore as it ramps up its relationship in Asia with Australian firm Allens Arthur Robinson (AAR).

The two lawyers in the firm’s New York office will be returning to the UK, while one Singapore-based partner will be relocating to Hong Kong.

Slaughters’ Singapore work is now understood to be channelled through best friend AAR.

Senior partner Tim Clark said: “These changes reflect our clients’ confidence in the international law firm model which allows us to select the very best lawyers in any particular jurisdiction.”

“We have been delighted with the development of our best friends relationship with AAR over the past two years which has established a firm base for co-operation in the future.”
