Salans gains one new London partner in global promotions round

Arbitration partner George Burn has made the grade in the UK. The Warsaw office received a total of three new partners, with Pirouzan Parvine, Mateusz Toczyski and Agnieszka Wardak joining the corporate, banking and finance, and litigation practices respectively.

Real-estate lawyer Antoine Mercier and employment lawyer Julie Caussade were both admitted to the Paris office’s partnership, while Catherine Joffroy and Markian Silecky, both corporate lawyers, were made up in CIS and Kyiv.

Tax lawyer Kanat Skakov, wh is based in the firm’s Almaty office, was also promoted to partner.

Though the lawyers made up span a range of practices, Salans’ recent lateral hires have almost all been in insolvency and restructuring.

The Anglo-French firm has beefed up its restructuring practice in Germany with the hire of former Ashurst partner Dietmar Schulz and associate Mike Danielewsky, and added former Simmons & Simmons partner Bodo Schaar to its London insolvency practice (7 January 2010).
