Outer Temple sets up shop in Middle East

Outer Temple Chambers has made an alliance with Abu Dhabi law firm Salloum & Co as part of its launch in the Middle East.

Outer Temple Chambers has made an alliance with Abu Dhabi law firm Salloum & Co as part of its launch in the Middle East.

The set, which announced it was launching in the region last month (The Lawyer, 5 November), will be based in Salloum’s office and will initially facilitate barristers from London, although in the future it may house a permanent contingent of lawyers.

Richard Lissack QC, who led the move alongside Outer Temple business development director Derek Jenkins, said the alliance gives the set a unique place in the market.

“We’re the only chambers with a physical presence in the Middle East and our burgeoning connections there with UK law firms, and now with Salloum & Co, will be a huge advantage to us,” said Lissack.
