Paul Johnson, who joins from Eversheds, will oversee Keebles’ corporate and business services group in Leeds. He will be supported by Rachel Neems, former head of corporate at Leeds-based firm Ford & Warren, who joins as a partner.
Head of corporate and business services Andrew Coombe said the hires were in line with Keebles’ aggressive expansion plans and followed a steady growth in instructions.
As part of this growth strategy, Keebles has several other fee-earner and support staff appointments in the pipeline. It also hired Rosemary Downs as a corporate partner.
“As part of our strategic growth objectives, we were looking to expand our quality team and increase the client base among SMEs [small and medium-sized enterprises], institutions and major players in the region and on a national scale,” said Coombe.
Keebles counts Yorkshire Fund Managers, the University of Sheffield, Bank of Scotland and Swinton Insurance Group as clients.
