Jose Mourinho’s dog finds a lawyer

Yesterday we asked who was acting for Jose Mourinho’s dog, Leya. Today we know. See story

Elizabeth Robertson, partner at Peters & Peters, scooped the most prized mandate in the sports world.

Robertson braved the public eye to represent Mourinho and his dog, answering complaints from the Animal Health and Welfare Services.

Robertson said: “The strangest bit was when the press was chasing me asking, ‘Where’s the dog? Where’s the dog?'”

What? Stranger than representing a dog?

Robertson is moving to Addleshaw Goddard in September but it seems unlikely she will be taking her exiled client with her.

Fee negotiations between Robertson and Leya have been tense, as £100 is worth £700 in dog money.

Clients can be real animals sometimes.
