SNR Denton will launch a New Orleans office on 1 March, with the new base focusing on energy-related work.
The office will be led by the firm’s energy, transport and infrastructure co-head Clinton Vince, who will remain in Washington.
Vince has advised the New Orleans City Council on energy issues for 28 years and was the council’s chief legal adviser on regulating Entergy New Orleans, a utility that supplies the city’s electricity and gas.
The firm has hired three lawyers to staff the office full-time. Senior counsel Jay Beatmann, associate Royce Duplessis and consultant Basile Yuddo. Beatmann and Uddo both join from their own firm, Uddo Beatmann & Code, while Duplessis was most recently a judicial law clerk for the Superior Court of the District of Columbia.
In a statement, SNR Denton US managing partner Mike McNamara said: “This expansion is reflective of our commitment to the people and the city of New Orleans.
“We’re proud of our work for the City Council of New Orleans, and now are exceptionally pleased to have SNR Denton in one of America’s most important cities.
“We look forward to strengthening our relationships in New Orleans and being one of the select international law firms facilitating enhanced work on a daily and local basis.”
