Sidley Austin has posted its year-end financials for 2011, revealing concentrated growth in revenue at the firm’s Palo Alto location.
The firm’s 21-lawyer Silicon Valley office, which opened in 2009 and aims to attract technology clients, posted an almost 50 per cent increase in revenue last year.
Across the firm, gross revenue rose 5.6 per cent to $1.4bn (£884m), while average profit per equity partner leaped 9.6 per cent to $1.6m.
Highlights of last year’s deals include 14 public offerings on the Hong Kong stock exchange and the lucrative defence of Texas-based Commercial Metals.
The firm’s overall headcount rose 3.5 per cent to 1,592.
