Yingke, China’s second-largest firm by lawyer headcount, is continuing its aggressive growth plans with the launch of offices in Poland and Turkey.
The firm’s Warsaw base will be the Chinese giant’s third European outpost, employing 25 full-time lawyers.
Yingke’s Istanbul outpost is the firm’s first foray into the Eurasian region.
Commenting on the launch, Budapest real estate head Attila Tiborcz said the firm would concentrate on strengthening ties between China and Turkey.
The Beijing-headquartered firm unveiled plans to open in London at the end of 2011 (26 September 2011), following a year of international expansion that saw openings in Budapest and Verona.
The firm established its first European outpost in September 2010, tying up with Hungarian firm Várnai. In March last year, its Italian branch, Yingke Várnai Luzi Crivellini & Associati, was established in Verona in the form of a joint venture with Italian firm Advoco.
With aspirations to become ’China’s Baker & McKenzie’ the firm has also put plans in place to expand its footprint into Hong Kong, the US, Japan, Australia, Singapore and the Middle East in the coming year.
