Jones Day looks to Nabarro for employment hire

Jones Day has appointed Nabarro’s employment head Julie Quinn as a partner in its London office, in a rare partner-level hire for the firm’s City employment team.

Quinn was recruited by Nabarro in 2008 from Allen & Overy (9 June 2008) to expand its non-contentious offering.

She joins a small employment team at the US firm, which currently only has of counsel Mark Taylor listed as an employment lawyer in London. Previous employment partners have included Lisa Mayhew, who left for Berwin Leighton Paisner in 2010 (11 October 2010).

Corporate partner Andrea Cropley is also leaving Nabarro, although her destination is currently unconfirmed. Cropley is based in the firm’s Sheffield office and joined the firm with a team from Tite & Lewis in 2004 (24 May 2004).

A spokesman confirmed that both she and Quinn had resigned.

News of the duo’s departure follows the earlier announcement by Ashurst that it had picked up Nabarro’s real estate litigation head Iain Travers (21 September 2012).
