Kath Livingston is a partner based in our Manchester office. She advises a diverse range of clients, from large global businesses and plcs to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and entrepeneurs, in relation to their business disputes.

Livingston’s core practice areas include contract disputes; business disputes; shareholder, joint venture and agency disputes; negligence claims against professionals; commercial fraud; and disputes arising out of corporate deals including warranty claims.

She has many years’ experience of pursuing claims, including claims for injunctive relief, through the courts and via arbitration, and of resolving disputes via negotiation and ADR processes such as mediation. She also has niche expertise in defamation and privacy law and advises clients in relation to reputation/brand protection strategies, their dealings with the media, trade libel, internet defamation and website shutdowns.

Livingston qualified as a lawyer in 1993 and worked for Eversheds before joining Shoosmiths as a partner in 2013.
