Simmons & Simmons has become the second firm to benefit from the closure of Nixon Peabody’s Paris office, picking up private equity partner Noro-Lanto Ravisy.
The US firm announced in December that it was shutting down its Paris office to focus on US work (18 December 2012). Like the bulk of Nixon Peabody’s Paris partners, Ravisy joined the firm in 2008 when a team left Taylor Wessing to launch Nixon Peabody in the French capital (20 August 2008).
Ravisy was the partner in charge of the private equity team at Nixon Peabody in Paris and will take up the same role at Simmons, sitting within the firm’s corporate team alongside office managing partner Thierry Gontard and fellow partners Christian Taylor and Sonia de Kondserovsky.
She advises French and international funds and their management teams, and also acts on large cross-border corporate transactions.
Simmons now has 16 partners and over 65 lawyers in France.
