Eversheds in row over Nock's fees

Eversheds is locked in a legal wrangle with its former head of tax over claims of unpaid fees.

Reg Nock, who left Eversheds in February after spending just eight months at the firm, is believed to be claiming unpaid fees due to him which accumulated during his time at the firm.

However, it is understood Eversheds is disputing his claims. The firm made a non-negotiable offer to its former employee when Nock left its employment.

Nock has retained Herbert Smith and it is believed several letters had previously been exchanged between the two parties in an effort to resolve the dispute.

At the time of his departure, Nock branded his appointment “a mistake”, and said that both sides had decided to cut their losses.
