A statutory tenancy battle involving a chalet site in south Wales is going to the House of Lords. Leave has been granted for lease-holders of chalets on the site to challenge a Court of Appeal ruling on 28 July last year, which set aside Swansea County Court's refusal to grant a possession order to site owners Elitestone. The Appeal Court ordered that the chalet occupants should give possession to Elitestone. The company wants to develop the site and in July 1990 offered the chalet occupants fixed-term leases. However, after the occupiers refused to pay, it issued the possession proceedings. The move has been mounted by David Owen Morris and Judith Mary Sked.
