Morrison & Foerster has named Larren Nashelsky, who chairs the firm’s bankruptcy and restructuring practice, as the firm’s new managing partner for the US.
Nashelsky, who works in Morrison & Foerster’s New York office, succeeds Laurie Hane, who returns to her technology transaction practice in San Francisco full-time.
Nashelsky will share management responsibilities with the firm’s two other managing partners, Mark Danis in San Diego and Pamela Reed in San Francisco. Keith Whetmore remains firm-wide chair.
In a separate development the firm has poached Kathyleen O’Brien from Sheppard Mullin. She was a partner in the firm’s intellectual property, entertainment, and antitrust and trade regulation practice groups. She has joined Mofo’s Los Angeles office as a partner in the litigation department.
