Boodle Hatfield has appointed its first managing partner in five years as part of a major management overhaul.
The 33-partner firm, which has offices in Oxford and London, has elected corporate partner Chris Putt to the role. Putt has been with the firm since 1994.
In addition to Putt’s appointment, four partners will become business unit heads under the management overhaul. They are Richard Maughan (property), David Way (tax and financial planning), Jonathan Brooks (corporate) and Simon Fitzpatrick (litigation).
The move is part of a firm-wide strategy to target privately-owned businesses and high net worth individuals, both in the UK and abroad.
Senior partner Richard Moyse says: “The new structure will make the practice more cohesive, enable us to deliver our services more effectively and keep pace with the rapid changes in our marketplace.”
