Mayhew will take up the position of leading advocate in May. His remit will include appearing for the FSA before the new Financial Services and Markets Tribunal as well as on High Court civil and criminal actions. Mayhew joined Coward Chance in 1981, becoming partner following its 1987 merger with Clifford Turner.
As well as dealing with litigation, Mayhew will advise the Enforcement case teams and train other FSA lawyers in advocacy. He will also assist on developing litigation training systems for enforcement officers
