London head quits Charles Russell

Extensive restructuring of Charles Russell’s commercial property group has resulted in the surprise departure of London head Chris Edwards.

The firm previously had two property heads in Edwards and Guildford’s Rory Fordyce, but the group has now been merged, with Fordyce assuming overall control.

Fordyce said the exit was by mutual agreement. “Chris doesn’t feel that the new structure will continue to offer the challenges and opportunities he seeks,” he said.

Edwards was unavailable for comment.
