Withers is to run a solicitor apprenticeship scheme

The firm has partnered with BPP Law School to run the Level 7 Trailblazer Apprenticeship, which allow school leavers to qualify as solicitors over six years.

Four apprentices will begin the programme this month, two of them joining fresh from A Levels and two transferring from Withers’ previous CILEx apprenticeship, which the firm launched in 2014.

Withers training partner Ceri Vokes said: “We are delighted to commence the Trailblazer programme this September, after several years of preparation and work. The majority of other law firms offering access to the solicitor Trailblazer course are doing so in their offices outside London, and we are proud to be one of the few that are offering this in the City. Legal apprenticeships are ideal for bright A Level students who want to pursue a legal career which could otherwise have been impossible due to the cost of higher education.”
