What would Ken Barlow think?

When Tracy Barlow was jailed for bludgeoning her boyfriend Charlie Stubbs to death, who did the Coronation Street scriptwriters turn to for advice on her sentencing?

The answer is Paul Dockery, criminal barrister at Manchester set 18 St John Chambers.

For six years, Dockery has advised the people behind Corrie on all things legal, from court-room dialogue to prison sentencing. But we can reveal he also occasionally gets a starring role in front of the cameras (see story).

Dockery’s latest appearance on Britain’s favourite soap came last night. But today he’ll be away from the glamour of TV and back at the day job, representing some of Moss Side’s toughest gangsters on serious crimes, drugs and money laundering.

With Coronation Street being such a crime-ridden place, that’s only appropriate.

(By the way, Tracy got life.)
