David Griffin is the Head of Legal & Governance Systems & Change at BT Group. David’s role is to ensure the lawyers at BT are fully supported by the technology that they use so they can add real value to the business. David’s previous roles include leading the delivery and then the architecture of the Legal technology department at Deutsche Bank, building and delivering value to the Legal department through technology.

Vanya Bromfield, General Counsel for BIS & VP for Legal Operations, Smiths Group

Vanya Bromfield is the General Counsel for Business Information Services and Vice President for Legal Operations at Smiths Group Plc (FTSE 100). Vanya has over 10 years of industry experience, across the public and private sector (both B2B and B2C).. Vanya has extensive experience advising customers on large scale IT outsourcing and project implementations with a particular focus on SaaS and agile projects. She also serves on the Global D&I Council for Smiths Group. Vanya is passionate about social mobility and inclusion and is currently a trustee for the Palace for Life Foundation – the charity set up by Crystal Palace FC.

 

Tina Meschino, Deputy General Counsel, ClearBank

Tina is a lawyer with over 9 years’ experience, based in London. She joined ClearBank, in late 2017 and is the Deputy General Counsel. She trained and began her legal career in Australia, working at a large National private legal practice, Thomson Geer, as an M&A lawyer. After this she moved into an in-house corporate legal role for a global aviation company, Cobham Aviation, before taking a leap and moving to the UK.

In her role at ClearBank, Tina supports the General Counsel with running the Legal department and leads a team of 6 who are responsible for supporting the Bank on a broad range of legal matters. With the benefit of seeing how different legal functions operate both in-house and in private practice, Tina recently led a highly successful technology and process transformation within ClearBank, through the creation of a self-serving Legal Portal with automated functionality, which has seen record business engagement with the legal department and a significant reduction in BAU activities.

Jules O’Neill-Shaw, Senior Business Development Manager, Legal Software, Wolters Kluwer

Jules helps in-house counsel and legal teams define their legal processes and take steps to implement legal software to create more time for strategic work, reduce risk, and improve communications.An experienced software solutions professional with a prior legal background, Jules moved to commercial roles within the Financial and Professional Services sectors, and currently sits on the panel at Nest Pensions.  She welcomes working in partnership with legal professionals and building trusted partnerships to support the use of legal technology.
