An attorney for over 20 years, Puterbaugh has written and spoken extensively on issues related to digital transactions. He is a past Chairman of the Electronic Signature and Records Association and has spoken at a wide variety of conferences in the US and Europe including the annual Association of Corporate Counsel, and American Bar Association Technology conferences. He has published articles on a variety of topics related to digital transactions including simplifying legal workflows, the EU electronic signature law, eIDAS and the challenges of electronic signature implementations.

Simon Ferres, Chief Information Officer Legal, Deutsche Bank

Simon Ferres is the CIO for Deutsche Bank’s in-house Legal Department, overseeing a number of Technology change initiatives that are key to the Legal Digitization program at DB. Simon is currently working on a range of initiatives from cloud-based document management to spend analytics – using both 3rd party and internally developed products. He also works in collaboration with the DB Innovation Labs to continually assess the Legal Technology marketplace.

Prior to this role, Simon worked at Barclays Investment Bank with responsibilities for technology change across; Finance, Human Resources, Procurement, and Legal. Outside of work Simon is married with two young children, and let’s off steam by cycling and racing cars on the track.

Barry Matthews, SVP General Counsel & Director of Government Relations (UK & EMEA), Meggitt

Barry is the SVP General Counsel (UK & EMEA) for Meggitt plc. His role includes oversight of all legal matters relating to UK & EMEA, UK Government Relations and Group Legal Operations including panel firm review and management.

Barry sits on the board of the Solicitors Regulation Authority and was recently re-elected for a second term.
