Yorkshire’s primary school age children are being invited to take part in this year’s annual Children’s Charity Calendar Painting Competition, now in its 24th year.

Law firm Walker Morris is encouraging all children of primary school age across the Yorkshire and Humber region to win prizes for themselves and their school by painting a picture that illustrates their favourite month of the year. The chosen 13 winners, which includes the coveted front page winner, will each receive a hamper full of artists’ materials and a £250 cheque for their school. The runners-up will also receive a prize each.

The winning entries will be used to create a calendar sold in aid of Martin House Hospice. Martin House cares for children and young people with progressive life limiting illnesses and provides support to their families across Yorkshire both at the hospice and in the community.

The competition, which attracts over 2,000 entries each year, will be judged by renowned Yorkshire artist, Ashley Jackson, David Smedley from Walker Morris and Dean Poole from West Yorkshire Printing.

To enter, please send the painting with a completed entry form firmly attached to: Walker Morris, Kings Court, 12 King Street, Leeds, LS1 2HL before the closing date on Friday 20 July 2018.
