Walker Morris has advised Halifax-based company Polyframe Holdings and Martyn Buckley on the sale of Polyframe, the UK’s largest independent manufacturer and distributor of trade windows and doors.

The company was established in 1992 and now has a group turnover exceeding £50m. It operates four manufacturing facilities producing windows and composite doors for the installer as well as 12 trade centres that distribute its products.

The MBO was backed by specialist investment firm Cairngorm Capital and was the first equity investment from its debut fund Cairngorm Capital Partners I.

Polyframe chief executive Ian Macdougal led the MBO and was supported by fellow Polyframe directors Jeremy Scott, Peter Dyson, David Eagle and Nick Summers.

Leading the Walker Morris team was corporate partner Debbie Jackson, with support from an team including Victoria Smithers in corporate, Ian Akitt and James Crellin in Finance, Jeanette Burgess and Robert Starr in regulatory, Stephen De’Giovanni in employment, Scott Flint in real estate and Sarah Bruce in tax.
