Bermuda firm Wakefield Quin saw no change in its partner headcount last year. It added two members of staff in total and saw a net gain of four fee-earners during the year.
Hires included that of corporate lawyer Erik Gotfredsen as senior counsel, joining from Conyers Dill & Pearman in Bermuda.
Wakefield Quin did not provide a list of its key deals, but reported on its website that it advised on matters including Barrie Holdings' $30m acquisition of Bermuda Telephone Company from KeyTech in October last year, and advised Nordic Trustee in connection with a $400m bond issuance for Golden Close Maritime Corp.
The firm also acted on a number of pieces of litigation during the year and for the Bermuda America's Cup Organising Committee on its successful bid to host the sailing event in 2017.
