Jersey firm Voisin's headcount grew slightly last year, with an extra three fee earners added to its roster, although lawyer and partner numbers did not change.
Together with associated fiduciary Volaw, Voisin moved into new premises in October. Together, the businesses have taken 20,000ft2 in St Helier's financial district. Growth is planned, particularly for Volaw.
Highlights of 2013 included litigation victories, including the January 2013 case before the Royal Courts of Jersey for Bjorn Pirrwitz, a director of aviation investment business AI Airports and power investment firm PI Power. After two weeks in court, Voisin won an outright victory for Pirrwitz in his €1.3m (£1m) claim for the non-payment of exit fees, including interest and indemnity costs.
The firm also launched a work placement scheme for young people with special needs.
