Two No5 Counsel have secured an acquittal for a man facing a manslaughter charge over the death of a Nuneaton pensioner.

Michael Duck QC led Simon Hunka for the defence in the case, which saw Adam Matthew Johnson, 29, of Tudor Road, Nuneaton, charged with unlawfully killing 72-year-old Michael Wood at the pensioner’s home in Tudor Road on Good Friday last year.

Mr Wood suffered a heart attack shortly after an incident which was said to have been part of an ongoing neighbour dispute over noise.

Mr Johnson was acquitted at Birmingham Crown Court following an 8 day trial.
