The UK government’s Crown Commercial Services (CCS) has appointed TLT to the full-service lot on its new £320m wider public sector legal services panel.

TLT is one of only six firms in the full service lot that have been appointed to deliver legal services in all three UK legal jurisdictions of England & Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

The full service panel covers a broad range of legal services including commercial, corporate, property and construction, IT, data protection, litigation and public procurement and can be used by the wider public sector, including health, education, local and regional government, emergency services and third sector and social housing organisations.

The wider public sector legal services panel allows for the provision of commercial legal services to over 17,000 UK public sector contracting authorities. CCS was looking for public sector specialist law firms capable of delivering services in at least 17 mandatory legal areas, across the whole of each jurisdiction applied for. Quality management, continuous improvement processes and an ability to strategise, innovate and manage knowledge were of particular importance.

Andrew Glynn, senior partner at TLT who led the tender process, says: “We are delighted to expand our role in supporting CCS with a full range of legal services. Having a prominent role on this panel is the hallmark of a leading law firm in the sector – it really is a testament to the strength of our team and the value that we offer public sector clients UK-wide.”

TLT is also a Tier One firm on the CCS general legal advisory services panel. The firm’s other public sector clients include the Department for Work and Pensions, various London borough councils and the BBC.
