TLT has completed the sale of a developed 20MW gas site in Chesterfield and a developed 40MW energy storage site in Bedford to Arlington Infrastructure Limited in three days.

Arlington Infrastructure Ltd specialises in developing and constructing clean energy projects in the UK with the ability to raise significant finance within an industry that is becoming more flexible and dynamic.

TLT’s clean energy team advised the seller on the property and commercial aspects of the sale, including the property valuation and due diligence, rights transfer and the terms of the sale. The team included Maria Connolly, partner and head of clean energy and the real estate group at TLT, alongside Nick Rains (corporate) and Jessica Jeanes and Grace Humphries (real estate).

Matt Clare, director of Arlington Infrastructure Ltd, says: “We needed to act quickly to complete the sale of these sites and the strict timetable made this particularly challenging. The team at TLT were professional, drafting two full suites of transaction documents and proactively getting us to completion all within a three-day time period. We were very pleased to have completed on time and grateful to TLT for their experience and hard work.”

Maria Connolly, head of clean energy at TLT, says: “We are continuing to see appetite for both gas projects and battery storage projects in the market, with acquirers keen to tap into the return on investment these assets can deliver. We are delighted to have acted on the development and ultimate sale of these projects and look forward to seeing Arlington Infrastructure Ltd continue to invest and grow in the sector.”
