Taylor Wessing has won the award for Best Graduate Recruitment Campaign at The Lawyer Business Leadership Awards.

The panel of expert judges were impressed by the firm’s 2015 campaign, citing its “vibrant manifesto,” together with “case studies focused on clients students are likely to have a genuine interest in.” 

The firm’s branding moved away from the traditional photos of current trainees, instead focusing on the work of the firm’s clients such as the British Fashion Council, Sky, and Spotify vs. the Ministry of Sound.

As a result of the campaign, the number of vacation scheme applications marked as ‘outstanding’ rose from 32 in 2015 to 51 in 2016, while the number of ‘outstanding’ training contract applications rose from 21 to 56.

The campaign also resulted in record numbers of non-law students applying, with a big rise in applications from STEM students as well as those studying economics and international politics.
