Taylor Wessing has made up three lawyers to partner and five more to senior counsel in its latest UK promotions round.

The three new partners are Katie Chandler, Lerika Joubert and Edward Story.

Chandler and Story both trained at Taylor Wessing, while Joubert joined from Slaughter and May in 2013, having previously practiced in South Africa. A banking and finance lawyer, she is also a member of the firm’s Africa Group.

Chandler is a litigator, while Story is a corporate lawyer who acts for both companies and private individuals.

Managing partner Tim Eyles said: “As we’ve been through our promotions process this year, it’s been inspiring to hear the creative ideas each of these individuals has for the future of our business. In a time of such transformation for the legal sector, I congratulate warmly all who have been promoted and look forward to seeing what they bring to our clients and our people in the future.”

Taylor Wessing’s London promotions have been sparse of late. The firm made up just one in the UK last year – tax and incentives lawyer Anna Humphrey – and two the year before that.
