Cooley has launched a second Chinese office in Beijing, hiring Ropes & Gray counsel Xun Zeng as a partner.

Zeng was at his former firm for over three years, first as an associate in the private investment funds group and then as a counsel in the same practice based in Hong Kong.

Harneys launches legal services offering in Shanghai

BVI-headquartered Harneys has become the second offshore law firm to obtain a licence to offer international legal services in Shanghai.

This new development comes two years after the firm first set up an office in the city to offer fiduciary services.
