Steering committee

Tulkinghorn’s Teutonic cousin Herr Tulkenstein was delighted to receive an invitation from blue-blood German firm Hengeler Mueller to celebrate the opening of its new office building on the swankier side of Düsseldorf.

Herr Tulkenstein was particularly excited at the prospect of bumping into the great and the good of the German business community.
Those well-connected chaps at Hengeler had even got Rolf Breuer – former head of Deutsche Bank and now head of its supervisory board – to say a few casual words.

However, among all this blue-chip display, what really caught the eye was the deathless sentence at the bottom of the invitation: “A room for chauffeurs will be provided.” Tulkenstein challenges even Slaughter and May to better that one.
