Norwich-based Steeles has become the latest law firm to convert to a limited liability partnership (LLP).
The move, effective from 1 November this year, will see Steeles file a full set of accounts with Companies House in 2004. It joins other firms, including Wragge & Co, Eversheds, Harbottle & Lewis and Gateley Wareing, all of which have converted to LLP status in the last year.
The conversion follows the July appointment of former Eversheds London managing partner Peter Scott as head of strategic development for the firm’s newly opened London office.
Steeles managing partner Philip Hyde told The Lawyer that LLP status “fits with the firm’s corporate management style”.
