Utility company South Staffordshire is having a legal clear-out following the hire of a new general counsel in 2013.
Gareth Brewerton, who took over as legal chief last October, has given the company’s 25-strong roster of adviser firms a good going over, leaving it with just four main advisers.
It’s yet another win for DWF, which has already earned spots on Allianz’s revamped claims panel and a North of England NHS panel as well as making the shortlist to take on Lloyds’ litigation unit after its retail GC quit earlier this year.
While there will be four happy firms this morning, elsewhere in the market nails are being bitten in anticipation of the results of BP’s panel review. Will the spring-cleaning theme continue into summer?
