Slaughter and May has revealed its retention figures for spring 2018.

The firm will retain 35 out of a total of 37 qualifiers, or 95 per cent, having made offers to 36.

A spokesperson for the firm said: “Our overall retention rate remains in line with previous years. We are very pleased that we have continued to post consistently high retention rates and we look forward to the positive contribution these lawyers will make to the future of the firm.”

Slaughters’ retention results are typically excellent, with the firm often recording figures in excess of 90 per cent.

Clifford Chance is the only other firm with a large spring intake to have announced its results so far, keeping on 92 per cent of its qualifiers.

Mayer Brown and Trowers and Hamlins have also posted their stats for the round.
