Simmons & Simmons has made up eight to its partnership today, with 50 per cent of the new partners based in London.
It’s an increase of just one on last year’s reduced promotions round at the firm which saw seven partners made up compared to the previous year’s ten (2 May 2013).
Half of the promotions were in financial services, three of which are in London and one in Frankfurt.
The remaining four consisted of two in corporate commercial in the Paris and Tokyo offices, one in dispute resolution in Milan and one in real estate in London.
A quarter of this year’s new partners are female.
Last year was a similar picture when the firm also made up four in London while the rest of the promotions appeared in the European offices.
