Sharpes, Pinsents land £850m waste PFI

Sharpe Pritchard and Pinsent Masons advised on Nottinghamshire County Council’s £850m waste PFI project, won by Veolia Environmental Services. The project is the first waste PFI project to be closed under the Treasury’s SoPC3 guidance. It includes the provision of services across a network of sites and will be delivered through a 26-year contract. Sharpe Pritchard represented Nottinghamshire County Council, led by projects and waste partner Nicola Sumner, who worked with the council’s assistant head of legal services Heather Dickinson. Pinsents advised Veolia, led by London projects partner Simon Mumford.
