Seven Stone Buildings has recruited a new tenant from outside the set for the first time in nearly 10 years.
Mark Wonnacott, a property litigation specialist, joins the chambers of Charles Aldous QC from Peter Andrews QC’s set at 199 The Strand.
Seven Stone Buildings has often promoted pupils internally, but no qualified newcomers have joined since Lindsey Stewart in 1991. The set now has 16 tenants, including four QCs.
“We have always gone for a rate of organic growth that is manageable,” says practice manager Shona Key.
The chambers is renowned for its work in property litigation, insolvency and prof- essional negligence.
Wonnacott has acted on high-profile landlord and tenant cases.
