Schoenherr assists GE in Austria technology takeover

Schoenherr has advised GE Jenbacher, a subsidiary of the US-based conglomerate General Electric (GE), on its acquisition of Francesconi Technologie, a technological products firm based in Kapfenberg, Austria.

Francesconi manufactures precision components for measuring medical, microsystems, precision mechanics and sensor technology, as well as precision casings, metal components and laser screens. Its gas engine division makes reciprocating engines, generator sets and cogeneration units.

The Schoenherr team advising GE was led by Christian Herbst (partner, corporate/M&A), and also consisted of Maximilian Lang (attorney, corporate/M&A), Volker Weiss (partner, EU and competition) and Tamara Gaggl (associate, corporate/M&A). Slaughter and May advised GE alongside Schoenherr.
