SanDisk has appointed Jim Belsford to take up the post as senior vice president, general counsel and company secretary in the flash storage card supplier.
Belsford, who joins from Hands-On-Mobile where he was general counsel. He had previously led the Jones Day corporate transactions practice prior to going in-house.
“SanDisk has a growing portfolio of products, businesses and intellectual properties that require strong legal leadership,” said SanDisk executive vice president, administration and CFO, Judy Bruner of the appointment.
Belsford, who will report to Bruner, will oversee a 30-strong legal team, and is to take responsibility for all elements of the company’s legal management, from IP work to transactional support for joint ventures.
California-based SanDisk has relationships with O’Melveny & Myers, Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, McDermott Will & Emery, Bingham McCutchen and Jones Day.
