Finnish firm Roschier has launched a real estate practice in Sweden, raiding Linklaters for a three-lawyer team.

The firm has hired senior associate Marcus Hedén as a partner from Linklaters’ Stockholm office to head the new real estate team.

Roschier’s Stockholm managing partner Axel Calissendorff said: “This segment is becoming increasingly important in Sweden, and so we decided it was time to establish a dedicated team to handle these assignments.”

Joining Hedén are associates David Sundin and Mikael Stabo from Linklaters, as well as Johan Fredriksson from the real estate transactions team at Öhrlings Pricewaterhouse-Coopers.

The hires mean the Stockholm office breaks through the 40-lawyer barrier at a time when competition in the Scandinavian legal market is heating up.
