The latest edition of The Lawyer’s UK 200: The Independents report, published in October, is the only analysis of the second hundred largest firms ranked by revenue in the UK market.
This dynamic group is now worth more than £1.5bn, a new record, and despite the threat of economic uncertainty The Lawyer’s exclusive data shows how many of these firms have grown not only over the last year but also in the last five.
The full report includes a wealth of benchmarking data points such as revenue per lawyer, profit margin and detail on headcount on some of the best-performing firms in the country. Notably, average profits per equity partner at a number of Independents easily eclipse those of some larger rivals. But it also highlights firms that may be takeover targets by larger rivals.
It underlines the attraction of many of these firms to City lawyers on the hunt for a different platform from the biggest international giants and also highlights how several of the Independents score highly in terms of gender diversity.
The report is now available to order.
