Partner and head of recoveries services group (RSG) at law firm Shoosmiths, Waine Mannix, has been named as one of the most influential in the credit industry according to magazine Credit Today’s ‘Credit 100’ list.

The list, entitled ‘Influence in the realm of credit risk, collections and debt recovery’, is likened to a Who’s Who guide of the top 100 names in the industry, and was revealed at the magazine’s Credit Summit on 7 April.

Waine sits among other big hitters on the list, including those who hold positions as head of collections for major banks and lenders, and lead partners in other professional services firms.

Shoosmiths’ Waine Mannix said: ‘It is an honour to have been listed in Credit Today’s Credit 100 for 2016.

‘This accolade, I believe, is a testament to and recognition of the hard work of the team members in the group and a reflection of the expertise within RSG, its strength and breadth, and commitment to providing exceptional client service.

‘Overall, it has been a great year for Shoosmiths after winning ‘UK Law Firm of the Year’ at Legal Week’s British Legal Awards, and equally for the RSG practice group as we take on the very best talent and grow our client-base.’

The news comes hot on the heels of recoveries partner, Mel Chell, being named in Motor Finance Magazine’s Power 50, the firm winning ‘Legal Provider of the Year 2016’ at the Motor Finance Awards and winning ‘Litigation Team of the Year’ at the Credit Today Awards in 2015.

The Legal 500 directory has ranked Shoosmiths in the top tier for recoveries services across the East and West Midlands, London, Manchester and the South East.

Shoosmiths recoveries services group provides a complete range of debt recovery services utilising cutting edge technology and with specialists dealing with all debt types, operating under a centralised management structure and within a national conduct risk and operating framework.
