PwC set to host event on changes in the regulatory environment

In an era of heightened accountability and transparency, the severe financial penalties and constant media attention upon offenders means that the reputational damage and cost of non-compliance is greater than ever.

PwC is hosting a regulatory update that will provide attendees with an opportunity to hear from Keith McCarthy, a PwC forensics director and former head of anti-corruption at the Serious Fraud Office.

McCarthy was engaged in the formulation of the UK Bribery Act and also held the roles of executive board member and chief investigator at the UK SFO. McCarthy will be discussing several legislative firsts such as the UK DPA for Standard Bank and other cases that have hit the headlines.

In the wake of recently reported cyber-attacks, risks to organisations around cyber, including how to best fight phishing attacks, will also be discussed.

This event will be of interest to anyone who deals with regulation and business threats.

It will be held at 8.00 – 10.00am, Thursday 28 April 2016, at the Royal Windsor Racecourse.
