Lancashire personal injury firm Scott Rees & Co Solicitors has hired 11 new staff. They are: Greg Bannister from National Insurance Group, Peter Bland from Calculus, Gareth Deary from Keith Levin & Co, Simon Horrocks from RBS Insurance, Rachel Murray from John Callaghan Solicitors. The other hires are Suzanne Chapman, Daniel Klein, Catherine Lloyd-Jones, Claire Cushley, Sarah McArdle and Stephen Hewitt.

North East firm Jacksons Commercial & Private Law has hired construction lawyer Vinay Patel from the in-house legal team of the GXI Group in London.

Bond Street-based commercial firm Jeffrey Green Russell has hired Anna Rabin as head of construction and engineering from Maples Teesdale.

US firm Howrey has elected 16 associates and one special counsel to the partnership. They include George Maling in London, David Owen in Amsterdam and Peter Camesasca and Sylvie Maudhuit in Brussels.

US firm Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr has appointed Emily Schulman and Carol Robinson Schepp as counsel. Schulman joins from the US Attorney’s Office for the District of Massachusetts, where she was an assistant US attorney, while Schepp joins from Carter Ledyard & Milburn.

Pitmans has appointed a new senior litigation executive to set up and run its clinical negligence department. Howard Rogers has 22 years’ experience in personal injury litigation and joins Pitmans from PJLaw, where he established an industrial disease litigation department.
