Tammy Heydenrych, Legal Operations Consultant, Norton Rose Fulbright
Tammy Heydenrych is a Legal Operations Consultant at Norton Rose Fulbright. The Legal Operations Consulting Practice sits within NRF Transform, the firm’s technology and innovation programme and helps GCs and in-house legal teams optimise the delivery of legal services to their organisations.
Tammy began her career as a litigation and commercial lawyer and was formerly the Group Company Secretary and Senior Legal Advisor for Zurich Insurance’s Southern African operations, overseeing corporate governance across four countries and delivering a number of strategic projects across the business.
Having worked within professional services, corporate and start-up environments, including consulting on a season of the BBC’s Dragon’s Den, Tammy has extensive expertise in corporate governance, strategy formulation, operational design and delivering business transformation projects.
Anup Kollanethu, Partner, EY Law
Anup is EY’s UK Head of Legal Managed Services, having joined EY in August 2020. Anup has had significant experience working with General Counsel’s in supporting the transformation of legal services, particularly with a focus on technology, process and efficient resource management. Following EY’s acquisition of Riverview and Pangea3, Anup works with GC’s leveraging these existing and mature delivery platforms.
Prior to joining EY, Anup was the CEO for Legal Managed Services at a LSE listed law firm and part of the Executive Team that led the listing. Before that, Anup was the Chief Business Officer at a magic circle firm, where he was responsible for setting up and delivering services from the Global Services Centre in Manchester.
Anup is passionate about mental health and the need for effective mentorship in the legal industry.
John O’Donoghue, Head of Legal Operations (Disputes), Herbert Smith Freehills
John is the Global Head of Legal Operations for Disputes at Herbert Smith Freehills and has 20 years of experience in the legal industry with an array of experience in Legal Finance, Pricing, Legal Project Management, Data & Analytics, Third-Party Funding & Risk Transfer Insurance. John has previously worked at firms including Charles Russel Speechlys, Simmons & Simmons and Reed Smith; before joining Herbert Smith Freehills in 2016. John has been responsible for various business transformation projects including an FPMS rollout, a Legal Project Management function, and most recently; the first specialist Disputes Pricing, Funding and Risk Transfer function within a major law firm. The work of John and his team has led to nominations for Legal Week’s “Flagship future of legal services innovation” award, the Lawyer’s “Business services team of the year” award and, most recently, the FT’s “Legal innovator of the year” award.
