Caroline O’Connor, Deputy General Counsel, GoCardless

Caroline leads the legal team at GoCardless, a rapidly growing fintech, with responsibility for all legal matters across the globe, including management of Legal Operations which focuses on the creation of scaleable legal and operational processes. Prior to GoCardless, she leads the global Commercial Transactions legal team for Rackspace Technology based in San Antonio, Texas with specific expertise in complex technology agreements. Caroline spent ten years as an in-house lawyer at British Telecommunications plc where she supported many of the business units including the consumer, procurement and television lines of business. Caroline originally practiced criminal and family law as a barrister at Maidstone Chambers.

Tracy Collins, Senior Corporate Lawyer – Technology & Digital Development, Danske Bank

Tracy is an experienced financial services lawyer for Danske Bank, one of Northern Ireland’s biggest retail banks.  As the Bank’s digital lawyer, Tracy sits on both the legal and technology leadership teams and is committed to partnering with business leaders to deliver strategic initiatives and drive transformation in online channels, products and services. An active ambassador for the Bank’s Gender Diversity Network promoting a more balanced and inclusive workplace, Tracy also founded an online community for colleagues to stay connected socially during the pandemic through shared interests in books, music, film and art.

Katy Dowell, Senior Writer, The Lawyer

Katy is responsible for The Lawyer’s daily Horizon newsletter, a data-rich strategic insight that helps the legal profession navigate the path ahead. Katy first joined The Lawyer in 2007 and was previously news editor. She writes about a wide range of topics, from law firm management and ESG topics to profiling firms and a growing range of alternative legal services providers.
